CONSTRUCTION

The Construction begins with prepping and waxing the mold. Then a high gloss gel coat is applied followed by a layer of fiberglass and resin. Pre-casted closed-cell foam logs are formed to fit by cutting and shapping each log to size for all our skiff models.
Every Carolina Skiff hull is built using a proven and patented box beam construction process. This process gives us a very durable and non-flexing hull. After the curing process the hull is pulled from the hull mold. Each hull is then inspected to ensure a quality product.

Each Carolina Skiff hull has no wood to rot. We use 100% composite materials with a high density foam fibercore transom. Nearly the whole process of building a Carolina Skiff is done is one step. The stringers are formed as each foam log is fiberglassed into place one at a time. The Carolina Skiff Construction process is patented so there can only be one true Carolina Skiff.
